The case shape of the 44.8mm by 53.55mm watch remains the same as with the first version, which was constructed out of a combination of DLC-treated titanium and layers of TPT carbon. The chunky shape is unapologetically Urwerk, with a trapezoidal silhouette and plenty of angles, nooks, and crannies throughout the case. With the new Polaris, the protective cover shield is gone, giving full view to the large sapphire crystal acting as a window within the industrial caliber sitting within. Mechanically speaking, the UR-7.30 caliber is hermetically sealed within a chamber that isolates the movement so that the ingress of air can be strictly controlled so that the turbines can do their thing.
